Karolina Laskowska has been on my radar for a while, being a twitter friend and someone i admire very much. On top of being a student Karolina runs her own lingerie business making heavenly knickers, bras and harnesses. Oh and did i mention she's managed to master lingerie production in only a few years? She's currently raising funds to create her 2013 collection and had the fabulous idea to create limited edition knickers, some of which are still available here, and sell them for a highly discounted price.
I snapped these up about ten minutes after she announced they were available and i'm so glad i did. These cost £40, which is usually more than i could afford to spend on a single pair of knickers, but i worked over 20 hours that weekend and so i could spare some of my wage.
As i expected from Karolina, these arrived exceedingly fast andwrapped in such lovely tissue paper that i've saved it for my Ma (trust me she'll appreciate it).
These knickers come in one size but as the side ties are adjustable, there's a little flexibility and for me, a size 6 to 8, they fit like a dream. They're made from two contrasting pieces of lace, one very cluttered and the other quite minimalist, and edged with a lace trim. The elastic around the legs isn't restricting at all so they're very comfortable. My favourite part of these knickers, albeit the most impractical part, is the fluff on the ends of the side ties. I say fluff as these aren't quite puffs or pom poms. They're made from what seems to be a loop of furry ribbon, hence fluff. It's very glamourous and playful details like this that i always fall for; hook, line and sinker.
Overall i'm beyond pleased with these knickers and i have no buyers remorse whatsoever. Not only do i get to own a very unique piece of lingerie, i was also able to support one of my favourite independent designers.
